Many Honda petrol engines use valve clearances that need checking and adjusting at set mileages, something that often gets skipped. We also see CVT automatic gearboxes on the Jazz and HR-V that need fluid changes, and 2.2 diesel Civics and CR-Vs that block their particulate filters on short trips around Walsall. Air con compressors and condensers on the CR-V and Civic are another common job, as are suspension knocks from worn mounts and bushes.

- Do you service Honda cars?
- Yes. We service and repair most Honda cars, including the Jazz, Civic, CR-V, HR-V and Accord, in petrol, diesel and hybrid form. We follow the service schedule for your model and use oil to the right grade. If you are not sure what service your Honda is due, call us with your registration and mileage and we will tell you.
- Will an independent service affect my Honda warranty?
- No. Under UK block exemption rules you can have your car serviced by an independent garage without affecting the manufacturer's warranty, as long as the work follows the schedule and uses parts and oils to the right specification. We stamp your service book or update the digital record so the history stays complete.
- How often should I service my Honda Jazz?
- Most Jazz models are set up for a service every year or every 12,500 miles or so, whichever comes first, but it depends on the year and the car's own service reminder. If you mainly do short runs around Pelsall and Walsall, a yearly service is a sensible minimum. We can check your car's schedule when you book.
- What are valve clearances and does my Honda need them done?
- Valve clearances are tiny gaps in the engine's valve gear. On many Honda petrol engines they need checking and adjusting at set mileages. If they are left, the valves can get noisy or start to run tight, which can cause rough running and, at worst, damage. We check them when your schedule calls for it.
- My Honda CVT feels jerky. Can you help?
- Yes. A jerky or slipping CVT is often down to old fluid, especially on cars that have never had it changed. We start by checking the fluid and reading any fault codes, then tell you whether a fluid change is likely to help or whether there is a deeper problem. We give you a price before doing any work.
- Can you fix the air con on my Honda?
- Yes. We check the system for leaks and pressure, re-gas it if that is all it needs, and find out whether a compressor or condenser has failed. Air con faults are common on older CR-V, Civic and Jazz models. We tell you what we have found and what it will cost before we go ahead.
- Do you work on Honda hybrids?
- Yes. We service Honda hybrid cars and can read fault codes on the hybrid system. A hybrid still needs regular oil changes, brakes, coolant and filters like any other car. If a hybrid warning light comes on, call us and we will check it and explain what it means before agreeing anything.
- Do you also work on Honda motorbikes?
