Why book with us

Honda Motorcycle Servicing & Repairs Pelsall with clear advice.

We work on Honda motorbikes from learner CB125Fs up to the Africa Twin, plus plenty of older CBRs, VFRs and Hornets. Hondas are known for being well built and long lasting, but that only holds if they are serviced properly. We look after the routine work, such as oil, filters, chains, brakes and coolant, and we take on repairs and fault finding when something goes wrong.

The CB500 range and the NC750X are popular commuting bikes round Walsall, and they tend to be ridden through every season. That means chains, sprockets, brake calipers and fasteners take a beating from road salt. We check these closely at every service, clean and free off the brakes, and tell you plainly when parts are worn out rather than replacing them just because they are on a list.

On older Hondas, especially the VFR800 and earlier CBR600s, the charging system is the thing we test most. A failing regulator/rectifier can flatten the battery or leave you stranded, and the connectors to the stator can overheat. We test the battery, charging voltage and stator output so we find the real cause rather than guessing with new parts.

Africa Twin owners with the DCT gearbox should know it has its own filters and checks in the service schedule. We follow Honda's schedule for your model, check valve clearances at the right mileage and keep your service book up to date, so the history is complete when you come to sell.

We are a family-run garage on Pelsall High Street, run by people who ride, and we host bike meets outside the workshop, so you will often find other riders here. Mark has been in the motor trade for over 30 years, and Suzi will talk you through the job and the price before anything starts. A garage has stood on this site since 1936. We see riders from Pelsall, Walsall, Aldridge and Walsall Wood. Call us on 01922 682200 to book your Honda in or to talk through a problem.

Common questions

How often should my Honda motorbike be serviced?
Honda sets intervals by mileage and by time, so an oil change is due at least once a year even on a low-mileage bike. Larger items like valve clearances, coolant and brake fluid come up at set points in the schedule. We check the schedule for your model when you call, so you know what the service will include before you book.
My Honda's battery keeps going flat. What could it be?
It could be a tired battery, but on many Hondas, older VFRs and CBRs in particular, it is often the regulator/rectifier or the stator. We test the battery, the charging voltage at different revs and the stator output, and check the connectors for heat damage. Then we tell you exactly which part has failed.
Can you service an Africa Twin with a DCT gearbox?
Yes. We service both manual and DCT Africa Twins. The DCT has extra filters and checks in its schedule that are easy to miss, and we include them. We also look closely at the chain, wheel bearings, spokes and brakes, as these bikes often see gravel tracks as well as road miles.
Do you work on older Hondas like the CBR600F, Hornet and Fireblade?
Yes. We work on older Honda road and sports bikes as well as the current range. With older bikes we pay close attention to the charging system, brakes, fork seals, coolant hoses and anything rubber that perishes with age.
Do you MOT motorcycles?
Yes. We carry out Class 2 MOTs on motorbikes over 200cc, including your Honda. Call us on 01922 682200 to book a bike MOT, as these are not bookable online. We can service it at the same time and put right anything that would fail.
Will a service with you affect my Honda warranty?
Under UK block exemption rules, an independent service keeps the manufacturer warranty valid as long as the work follows the maker's schedule and uses parts and oils to the right specification. We follow the service schedule for your model, use the correct grade of oil and stamp your book or give you a full written record. Recall and warranty repairs themselves still need to go through a dealer.
Do you have the right setup to work on bikes?
Yes. We have a motorbike lift in the workshop, so your Honda is held securely at a good working height rather than being worked on at floor level on a paddock stand. That makes jobs like wheel removal, fork work and chain changes safer and easier, and it lets us look properly underneath for leaks and wear.
Will you give me a price before you start?
Yes. We look the bike over, tell you what it needs now and what can wait, and give you a clear quote. Nothing gets done without your say-so. If we find something else once the work is under way, we stop and ring you before we go any further, so there are no surprises when you come to collect.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. We offer discounts for police, fire service, NHS workers and armed forces. Just mention it when you book and bring your ID when you drop the bike off. We are open Monday to Friday 8:30 to 17:00 and Saturday 8:30 to 13:00, closed on Sundays.
