Why book with us
Citroën Servicing & Repairs Pelsall with clear advice.
We work on Citroëns of every age at 45 High Street, Pelsall. The C3, C4 Picasso and Grand Picasso, C5 Aircross and C1 come through our doors regularly, along with the Berlingo, which many families use as a people carrier. We handle servicing, warning lights, brakes, clutches, suspension and electrical work. Mark has more than 30 years in the motor trade, so he knows these cars well.
Citroën shares engines with Peugeot, so the same things crop up. The 1.2 PureTech petrol has a timing belt that runs in oil and can break down, blocking the oil pickup. BlueHDi diesels use AdBlue, and faults there bring up a countdown warning on the dash. Older HDi diesels use an additive fluid to help clean the particulate filter. We check all of these properly rather than guessing.
Some Citroën models have their own quirks. The automated manual gearbox fitted to many C4 Picassos can judder or hesitate, the electronic parking brake can fail, and the C1 shares its small engine with Toyota and Peugeot city cars. We read the fault codes, test the parts involved and explain what we find in plain English, so you know exactly what you are paying for and why.
We are a family-run garage, carrying on a tradition of a garage on this site since 1936. Mark and Suzi took over in 2023 and renovated the workshop. Drivers from Pelsall, Walsall, Bloxwich and Great Wyrley come to us for honest advice and clear prices, and because nothing is started without their say-so. We stamp your service history too, which keeps the car's value up.
If your Citroën needs a service, a repair or an MOT, we can take care of it in one visit. We test cars and light vans up to 3,000kg, including the Berlingo. For Citroën vans used for work, see our Citroën van page. Call us on 01922 682200 or call in to book. Have your registration to hand and we will tell you what is due.

Common questions
- Do you work on Citroëns?
- Yes. We work on most Citroën cars, including the C1, C3, C4, C4 Picasso, Grand C4 Picasso and C5 Aircross, as well as older DS3 models and the Berlingo. Petrol, diesel, manual and automatic are all fine. Call us on 01922 682200 if you want to check before booking.
- Is the 1.2 PureTech timing belt a problem?
- It can be. The belt runs in engine oil and, as it ages, it can swell and shed material that blocks the oil pickup. The warning signs are a flickering oil light, a rattle or a loss of power. Citroën has changed the recommended interval over time, so we check your car's age, mileage and history and inspect the belt before advising.
- My C4 Picasso gearbox is jerky. Can you help?
- Yes. Many C4 Picassos have an automated manual gearbox, which can judder or hesitate as the clutch wears or the gearbox needs relearning. We read the fault codes, check the clutch and actuator, and explain the options with a clear quote. We will not fit anything without your say-so.
- Do you service the Citroën Berlingo?
- Yes. We service and repair the Berlingo whether you use it as a family car or for work. We can also MOT it, as we test cars and light vans up to 3,000kg. For Citroën vans used for business, have a look at our Citroën van page as well.
- Will servicing with you affect my Citroën warranty?
- No. UK block exemption rules mean you can use an independent garage during the warranty period, as long as the service follows the manufacturer schedule and uses parts and oil to the right specification. We do that and record the work, so your service history stays complete.
- What does the AdBlue warning on my Citroën mean?
- BlueHDi diesels inject AdBlue to clean the exhaust. If the system develops a fault, the dash shows a countdown of the miles left before the engine will not restart. It is often the pump, heater or tank rather than low fluid. We find the actual fault and quote before we fit anything.
- How often should I service my Citroën?
- Most Citroëns are due a service every year or at a set mileage, whichever comes first, but it varies by model. Cars doing lots of short trips around Walsall and Bloxwich benefit from sticking to the annual service. We can look up the right interval from your registration.
- Do you offer discounts?
- Yes. We offer discounts for police, fire service, NHS workers and armed forces. Let us know when you book and bring your ID with you. The discount covers servicing, repairs and MOTs on your Citroën, and it is shown clearly on your quote so you know the price before we pick up a spanner.
- What are your opening hours?
- Monday to Friday 8:30 to 17:00 and Saturday 8:30 to 13:00. We are closed on Sundays. Call 01922 682200 or pop in to 45 High Street, Pelsall. If you cannot get away during the week, Saturday mornings are a good time to drop your Citroën in for a check, a service or an MOT.
