Why book with us

Peugeot Servicing & Repairs Pelsall with clear advice.

We work on Peugeots every week, from small 107s and 108s through the 208 and 2008 to the 3008 and 5008 family cars. Petrol or diesel, manual or automatic, we can service it, find a fault and put it right. A garage has stood on our site in Pelsall since 1936, and Mark has spent more than 30 years in the motor trade, so there are few Peugeot problems he has not seen before.

Most of the newer Peugeots we see run the 1.2 PureTech three-cylinder petrol engine. Its timing belt runs inside the engine in oil, and as it ages it can break down and shed material into the sump. That can block the oil pickup and starve the engine of oil. We check belt condition, service history and the oil used, then tell you honestly whether it needs doing now or can wait.

On the diesel side, the HDi and BlueHDi engines are strong but need looking after. Short trips around Walsall can clog the diesel particulate filter, and BlueHDi cars have an AdBlue system that can throw up a countdown warning on the dash. Many older HDi models also use a fluid additive to help the filter clean itself. We read the fault codes, test the system and fix the cause rather than just clearing the light.

We keep things simple. You tell us what the car is doing, we check it and give you a clear quote, and nothing is started without your say-so. If something can safely wait, we say so. Drivers come to us from Pelsall, Walsall, Brownhills and Bloxwich because they get straight answers from the people actually working on the car, and a stamped service history that helps when it is time to sell.

Whether your Peugeot is due a service, has a warning light on, or needs an MOT, we can help. We test cars and light vans up to 3,000kg and can do the service and MOT on the same visit. Call us on 01922 682200 or pop in to 45 High Street, Pelsall, and we will book you in at a time that suits. If you want to know what your car is due first, have your registration ready and we will check.

Common questions

Do you work on all Peugeot models?
Yes. We work on Peugeot cars of all ages, from the 107 and 108 up to the 3008 and 5008, plus car-based models like the Partner and Rifter. Petrol, diesel, manual and automatic are all fine. If you are not sure whether we can help with yours, call us on 01922 682200 and we will talk it through.
When should the PureTech timing belt be changed?
Peugeot has changed the recommended interval on the 1.2 PureTech over the years, and it depends on the age of the car as well as the mileage. The oil used also makes a difference to how the belt wears. We check your car's history and the belt itself, then give you an honest answer on whether it needs doing now or can wait.
My Peugeot says the AdBlue system is faulty. Can I keep driving?
You can usually drive for a while, but the dash will count down the miles until the engine will not restart, so do not leave it. The fault is often the AdBlue pump, heater, sensor or tank rather than just running low on fluid. We read the codes, find the cause and quote you before any parts are fitted.
Will servicing my Peugeot with you affect the warranty?
No. Under UK block exemption rules you can have a car serviced by an independent garage without losing the manufacturer warranty, as long as the work follows the schedule and uses parts and oil to the correct specification. We do exactly that and stamp your service book or record it, so your history stays complete.
How often should I service my Peugeot?
Most modern Peugeots have a service interval of around one year or a set mileage, whichever comes first, but it varies by model and engine. Drivers who do lots of short trips around town should not stretch it. We can check the right interval for your car from the registration and remind you what is due.
Why does my Peugeot diesel keep showing a particulate filter warning?
The filter cleans itself on longer runs at steady speed. If most of your driving is short hops around Pelsall and Walsall, it never gets hot enough, so soot builds up. Older HDi cars can also run low on the additive fluid that helps the process. We test the filter, sensors and fluid and fix the real cause.
Can you do my Peugeot's service and MOT at the same time?
Yes. We are a Class 4 MOT station, so we test cars and light vans up to 3,000kg. Booking the service and MOT together means one visit instead of two, and if the MOT finds anything we can quote for it there and then. Nothing is repaired without your say-so.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. We offer discounts for police, fire service, NHS workers and armed forces. Just let us know when you book and bring your ID when you drop the car off. The discount applies to servicing and repairs on your own Peugeot, and we will always show it clearly on your quote so you know exactly what you are paying before we start.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday 8:30 to 17:00 and Saturday 8:30 to 13:00. We are closed on Sundays. You can call us on 01922 682200 or call in at 45 High Street, Pelsall, to book. Saturday mornings are handy if you work during the week.
