Why book with us
Mercedes-Benz Servicing & Repairs Pelsall with clear advice.
We work on Mercedes-Benz cars and vans, from the A-Class and C-Class to the E-Class, S-Class, GLA, GLC and M-Class, plus the Vito and Sprinter. Petrol, CDI diesel, manual or automatic, we service and repair them all. Owners come to us from Pelsall, Walsall, Bloxwich and Great Wyrley because they want proper care and honest prices. Many come to us once the car is out of its warranty, though we can service it while it is still covered too.
Some faults come up often. The 7G-Tronic automatic can develop harsh or delayed changes when its valve body or electrics play up. Older E-Class cars with air suspension can sink at one corner overnight. Cooling hoses and expansion tanks weep with age, and diesels that only do short runs clog their particulate filters. Early W211 E-Class cars also used an electronic brake system that can throw warnings.
Every job starts with finding the cause. We read the fault codes, look at live data and test the suspect part before we recommend anything. Then we call you, explain what we found in plain words and give you a clear price. Nothing gets done without your say-so, and we will tell you if something can wait. Guessing costs you money, so we test first and replace second.
A garage has stood on our site on Pelsall High Street since 1936, and we are the third family to run it. Mark and Suzi took over in 2023 and renovated the workshop. Mark has been in the motor trade since leaving school, more than 30 years, and Suzi has worked as a service adviser. We are rated 4.8 from 55 Google reviews.

Common questions
- What is the difference between Service A and Service B?
- Service A is the smaller service, mainly an oil and filter change with safety checks. Service B is the bigger one and adds items such as the cabin filter, brake fluid and a more detailed inspection. Your car alternates between them. The dashboard tells you which is due, and we follow that list.
- Will using you instead of a dealer affect my Mercedes warranty?
- No. Under UK block exemption rules an independent service keeps the manufacturer's warranty valid, as long as it follows the schedule and uses parts and oils to the correct spec. We record every service, so your history stays complete, which also helps when you come to sell.
- My Mercedes automatic is jerking between gears. What could it be?
- On 7G-Tronic gearboxes, harsh or delayed changes often point to the valve body, the conductor plate or old gearbox oil. Sometimes the gearbox drops into limp mode and holds one gear. We read the gearbox codes and check the oil before suggesting anything, as the fix can be smaller than you fear.
- Why is my Mercedes sitting low at one corner?
- On cars with Airmatic air suspension, a sagging corner after standing usually means an air strut or line is leaking, or the compressor is struggling. Leaving it can burn out the compressor. We find the leak first and quote for the part that has actually failed.
- Do you work on Mercedes vans?
- Yes. We service and repair the Vito and Sprinter, as well as Mercedes cars. We MOT vans up to 3,000kg. Heavier Sprinters need a different MOT class that we do not test, but we can still service and repair them. See our Sprinter page for more detail.
- Can you clear a Mercedes DPF warning?
- Often, yes. CDI diesels that mostly do short trips cannot burn off the soot in the filter. We check the sensors and readings, then try a forced regeneration or a clean. If the filter has truly had its day we will tell you and give you a price.
- Do you use genuine Mercedes parts?
- We fit parts to the Mercedes spec, either genuine or quality parts from the same makers. We tell you which we are using. If you would like genuine Mercedes parts only, ask and we will quote that way. Either way, the parts we fit meet the spec your Mercedes needs, so your service history and warranty are not affected.
- Do you MOT Mercedes cars?
- Yes. We carry out Class 4 MOTs on cars and light vans up to 3,000kg. If your Mercedes fails, we explain why and quote for the repair before doing anything. You can book your Mercedes MOT and service together, so the car is only off the road once, and we will point out anything that is close to needing attention.
- Do you give discounts?
- Yes. Police, fire service, NHS workers and armed forces get a discount. Mention it when you book on 01922 682200 and bring your ID card on the day. If you are not sure whether your role counts, just ask when you ring and we will tell you straight away. It is our way of saying thank you to the people who look after us all.
