Why book with us
Kia Servicing & Repairs Pelsall with clear advice.
We work on Kias of all ages: the Picanto, Rio, Stonic, Ceed, Sportage, Niro and Sorento. Petrol, CRDi diesel, hybrid and plug-in hybrid, we service and repair them for drivers across Pelsall, Walsall, Rushall and Aldridge. Many of the Kias we see are still within their seven-year warranty, and we service them in a way that keeps it intact. We know owners want to keep that warranty, so we make sure every service is recorded properly.
Kias are dependable, but some faults come up. Diesels that mostly do short runs block their DPF. Brake calipers and handbrakes can stick on low-mileage cars. Direct-injection GDi petrols can build up carbon on the inlet side over time. Hybrids such as the Niro slowly lose some battery performance with age, and the 12V battery can let them down after standing.
Every job starts with finding the cause. We read the fault codes, look at live data and test the suspect parts before suggesting a repair. Then we ring you, explain it in plain English and give you a clear price. Nothing gets done without your say-so, and if a job can safely wait, we will tell you. Guessing costs you money, so we test first and replace second.

Mark has worked in the motor trade since leaving school, more than 30 years, and Suzi has worked as a service adviser. We are rated 4.8 from 55 Google reviews.

Common questions
- Will servicing my Kia with you affect the seven-year warranty?
- No. Under UK block exemption rules, an independent garage can service your Kia without affecting the warranty, as long as the work follows Kia's schedule and uses parts and oils to the right spec. We do exactly that and record every service, so you have the proof if you ever need to make a claim.
- How often should my Kia be serviced?
- Most Kias need a service every year or every 10,000 miles, whichever comes first, though some models allow longer. Keeping to the schedule matters for the warranty. Give us your reg and mileage and we will check what your car is due.
- Can you service a Kia Niro hybrid?
- Yes. We service the Niro and other Kia hybrids. That covers the engine oil, filters and safety checks, plus checks on the hybrid system and the 12V battery. Hybrid brakes wear slowly but can stick, so we check those closely too.
- Why does my Kia pull to one side when I brake?
- Often a sticking caliper or slider. Cars that do low miles, or that sit for long spells, can have calipers seize so the brake drags. You may notice a hot wheel or a burning smell. We clean and free them off, or replace the parts if they are too far gone.
- Can you fix a Kia DPF warning?
- Usually, yes. CRDi diesels used mainly for short trips cannot burn off the soot in the filter. We check the sensors and readings, then try a forced regeneration or a clean. If the filter is beyond saving, we will tell you and give you a price.
- Do you work on Hyundais too?
- Yes. Kia and Hyundai share many engines and parts, so a lot of what we do on Kias applies to Hyundais too. See our Hyundai page for more. That includes many of the shared petrol and diesel engines, the hybrid systems and brake and suspension parts, so the same care and checks apply.
- Do you use genuine Kia parts?
- We use parts that meet Kia's spec, either genuine or quality parts from the same makers. We tell you which we are fitting. If you want genuine Kia parts only, just ask and we will price it that way. Either way, the parts we fit meet the spec your Kia needs, so your service history and warranty are not affected.
- Do you MOT Kias?
- Yes. We carry out Class 4 MOTs on cars and light vans up to 3,000kg. If your car fails, we explain why and give you a price for the repair before anything is done. You can book your Kia MOT and service together, so the car is only off the road once, and we will point out anything that is close to needing attention.
- Do you offer discounts?
- Yes. Police, fire service, NHS workers and armed forces get a discount. Mention it when you call 01922 682200. If you are not sure whether your role counts, just ask when you ring and we will tell you straight away. It is our way of saying thank you to the people who look after us all.
