Why book with us

Hyundai Servicing & Repairs Pelsall with clear advice.

We work on Hyundai cars of all ages at our workshop on Pelsall High Street. The i10, i20 and i30 are the models we see most, along with the Tucson, its older ix35 predecessor and the Kona. We do routine servicing, warning lights, brakes, clutches, suspension and electrical work on both petrol and diesel engines. Mark has more than 30 years in the motor trade behind him.

Many Hyundais are sold with a long manufacturer warranty, and owners often think they must go back to a dealer to keep it. Under UK block exemption rules, an independent service that follows Hyundai's schedule and uses parts and oil to the correct specification keeps the warranty valid. That is how we work, and we record every service so your history is complete when you sell.

Hyundais are generally reliable, but they still wear like any other car. Diesel Tucsons and ix35s can block their particulate filters on short trips, clutches wear on cars used mostly in town, and brakes on low-mileage cars can seize or corrode. Some automatic models need their gearbox looked at if they judder. We read the fault codes and check properly before telling you what is needed.

We are a family-run garage. A garage has stood on this site since 1936, and Mark and Suzi took it on in 2023 and renovated it. Drivers from Pelsall, Walsall, Aldridge and Brownhills use us because we give plain-English advice, a clear quote and never start work without the customer's say-so. If something can safely wait, we will tell you.

Whether your Hyundai needs a service, a repair or an MOT, we can do it all in one visit. We test cars and light vans up to 3,000kg. Call us on 01922 682200 or drop in to 45 High Street, Pelsall, to book a time that suits you. Have your registration ready and we can check what your Hyundai is due, including any service that keeps the warranty on track.

Common questions

Will servicing my Hyundai with you affect the warranty?
No. Under UK block exemption rules, you can have your Hyundai serviced by an independent garage without affecting the manufacturer warranty, as long as the work follows Hyundai's schedule and uses parts and oil to the correct specification. We do exactly that and record every service, so your history stays complete and your warranty stays intact.
Do you work on all Hyundai models?
We work on most Hyundai cars, including the i10, i20, i30, ix35, Tucson, Kona and Santa Fe, petrol and diesel. If you have a hybrid or electric model, call us first on 01922 682200 and we will tell you honestly what we can do for it.
How often should my Hyundai be serviced?
Most Hyundais are due a service every year or at a set mileage, whichever comes first. The exact schedule depends on the model and engine. If you are still under warranty it is important not to miss one. We can check the right interval from your registration and let you know what is due.
Why does my Hyundai diesel keep showing a filter warning?
Diesel particulate filters clean themselves on longer runs at steady speed. If your Tucson or ix35 mostly does short trips around Walsall, the filter never gets hot enough and soot builds up. We test the filter and its sensors, check for related faults such as a sticking EGR valve, and fix the cause rather than just clearing the light.
Does my Hyundai have a timing belt or chain?
Most recent Hyundai petrol engines use a timing chain, but some engines use a belt that must be changed on time. It depends on the exact engine. Give us your registration and we will tell you which yours has and whether anything is due.
My Hyundai automatic judders when pulling away. What is wrong?
On cars with the dual-clutch automatic, judder or hesitation can come from clutch wear or the gearbox needing its settings relearnt. On conventional automatics it can be fluid condition. We read the codes, road test the car and explain what we find, with a clear quote before anything is done.
Can you MOT my Hyundai?
Yes. We are a Class 4 MOT station, so we test cars and light vans up to 3,000kg. You can book the MOT on its own or with a service, which saves a second trip. Nothing found on the MOT is repaired without your say-so.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. We offer discounts for police, fire service, NHS workers and armed forces. Just mention it when you book and bring your ID when you drop the car off. It applies to servicing, repairs and MOTs on your Hyundai, and we show it on your quote so you know exactly what you will pay before any work starts.
Where are you and when are you open?
We are at 45 High Street, Pelsall, Walsall, WS3 4LT, a short drive from Aldridge, Brownhills and Bloxwich. We are open Monday to Friday 8:30 to 17:00 and Saturday 8:30 to 13:00, and closed on Sundays. Saturday mornings suit drivers who work during the week.
