Why book with us

Fiat Servicing & Repairs Pelsall with clear advice.

We service and repair Fiat cars at our workshop on Pelsall High Street, from the little Panda and 500 to the Punto, Tipo and 500X. Fiats are cheap to run and great around town, which is exactly how most of them are driven in Pelsall and Walsall. Lots of short trips are hard on any car, though, and Fiats have a few known weak spots that are much cheaper to catch early.

Timing belts are one of the most important jobs on a Fiat. Many of the petrol and diesel engines use a belt, and if it is overdue and snaps it can wreck the engine. We also see Dualogic automated gearboxes that stop selecting gears, electric power steering faults, MultiAir units causing misfires on the TwinAir and 1.4 engines, clutch wear, rear axle bushes and particulate filter trouble on Multijet diesels.

We always start by finding the real cause. If your Fiat has a warning light or will not select a gear, we read the fault codes and test the parts behind them. If it is a noise or a feel, we road test it and look underneath. Then we call you, explain it in plain English and give you a clear price. No work is started without your say-so.

A garage has stood on this site since 1936, and Mark has been in the motor trade since leaving school, over 30 years. Suzi has worked as a service adviser, so you will always get a straight answer on the phone. Fiat drivers come to us from Pelsall, Walsall, Bloxwich and Rushall because we are family-run, honest and do not push work you do not need.

We carry out Class 4 MOTs on site, so your Fiat can have its MOT and service in one visit. Police, fire service, NHS and armed forces get a discount. To book your Fiat in, or to ask about a timing belt, call us on 01922 682200 or pop in to 45 High Street, Pelsall, WS3 4LT. We are open Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5 and Saturday 8:30 to 1, and closed on Sundays.

Common questions

Do you service Fiat cars?
Yes. We service and repair most Fiat cars, including the 500, 500X, 500L, Panda, Punto and Tipo, petrol and diesel. We follow your car's schedule and use oil to the right grade. Call us with your registration and mileage and we will tell you what is due.
When does my Fiat timing belt need changing?
It depends on the engine and year, and many Fiat belts are due on age as well as mileage, so a low-mileage car can still need one. If the belt snaps, it can badly damage the engine. If you are not sure when yours was done, call us and we will check the history and advise you.
Will an independent service affect my Fiat warranty?
No. Under UK block exemption rules, an independent garage can service your car without affecting the manufacturer's warranty, as long as the schedule is followed and parts and oils meet the right specification. We record the work in your service history.
My Fiat 500 Dualogic will not go into gear. Can you fix it?
Yes, we can look at it. Dualogic faults are often down to the hydraulic pump, the actuator, low fluid or a weak battery, as the system needs good voltage to work. We read the fault codes and test the system to find the cause, then give you a price before doing any work.
Why has my Fiat steering gone heavy?
On the Panda, Punto and 500, heavy steering with a warning light is often an electric power steering fault in the steering column. It can also be a sensor or wiring problem. We read the codes and check the system, then explain the options and costs before we go ahead.
How often should I service my Fiat?
Most Fiats are due a service every year or every 9,000 to 12,000 miles depending on the model. If your car does lots of short trips around town, a yearly service is the sensible minimum. We can check your schedule when you book.
What is a MultiAir fault?
Fiat's MultiAir engines, including the TwinAir and some 1.4 petrols, use a hydraulic unit to open the inlet valves. If it fails, you get misfires, rough running and an engine warning light. Clean oil to the right specification helps it last. We can read the codes and test it.
Can you MOT my Fiat?
Yes. We carry out Class 4 MOTs on site for cars and light vans, including every Fiat car model and the Doblo. You can book your MOT and service together to save a second visit. If your car fails on something small, such as a bulb or a wiper blade, we can usually sort it there and then. For anything bigger we explain the fail, give you a clear price and only go ahead once you say yes.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. We offer discounts for police, fire service, NHS workers and the armed forces. Just mention it when you book. The discount applies to servicing, MOTs and repairs carried out at our workshop in Pelsall. If you are not sure whether you qualify, give us a ring on 01922 682200 and Suzi will happily explain how it works.
