Audi Servicing & Repairs Pelsall

Audi servicing and repairs from a family-run garage in Pelsall, close to Walsall. We find the cause, explain it plainly and agree the price with you first.

Why book with us

Audi Servicing & Repairs Pelsall with clear advice.

We work on Audi cars from the A1 and A3 to the A4, A6, TT and the Q2, Q3, Q5 and Q7. TDI diesels, TFSI petrols, manual, S tronic and quattro, we service them, diagnose them and repair them. Audi owners come to us from Pelsall, Walsall, Rushall and Aldridge for straight answers and a price agreed before we lift a spanner.

Audis share a lot of engines and gearboxes with Volkswagen, so the same faults turn up. Older TDI diesels use a timing belt that must be changed on time. Some 2.0 TFSI petrols burn oil between services. The seven-speed dry-clutch S tronic gearbox can judder when pulling away. Plastic water pump housings on TFSI engines can weep coolant, and heavy cars wear front suspension bushes.

We start by finding out what is actually wrong. We read the fault codes, check live data and test the suspect parts before suggesting a repair. Then we call you, explain it in plain English and give you a clear quote. Nothing is fitted until you say yes, and we will tell you honestly if a job can wait until your next service.

A garage has been on our High Street site in Pelsall since 1936, and we are the third family to run it. Mark and Suzi took it on in 2023 and renovated the place. Mark has worked in the motor trade since leaving school, over 30 years, and Suzi has worked as a service adviser. Our customers have given us 4.8 from 55 Google reviews.

If your Audi needs a service, its timing belt is due, or a warning light has come on, call us on 01922 682200. We are open Monday to Friday 8:30 to 17:00 and Saturday mornings 8:30 to 13:00. Tell us your reg and mileage and we will tell you what is due. Or pop in to the workshop on Pelsall High Street and have a chat with Mark or Suzi.

Common questions

When does my Audi's timing belt need changing?
It depends on the engine and year. Many TDI diesels have a belt that is due somewhere between 60,000 and 140,000 miles, or after a set number of years, whichever comes first. Belts give no warning before they snap, and a snapped belt usually means major engine damage. Give us your reg and we will look up the interval for your car.
Should the water pump be changed with the timing belt?
On most Audi engines the water pump is driven by the timing belt, so yes, we recommend changing it at the same time. The labour is mostly the same, and a pump that fails later can ruin the new belt. We will always quote it as an option and explain why.
My Audi is using oil. Is that normal?
Some oil use is normal, but certain 2.0 TFSI petrol engines are known for using a lot between services, often because of worn piston rings or a faulty breather. We can check the level over a set distance, look for leaks and tell you what is going on before you spend money.
Why does my S tronic gearbox judder when pulling away?
The seven-speed dry-clutch gearbox fitted to smaller Audis such as the A1, A3 and Q2 can judder at low speed as the clutch pack wears or the control unit needs adapting. We read the gearbox codes, check the clutch and talk you through the options, from an adaptation to a new clutch.
Will an independent service affect my Audi warranty?
No. UK block exemption rules mean you can use an independent garage and keep your manufacturer's warranty, provided the service follows the schedule and uses parts and oils that meet Audi's spec. We record everything we do, so your service history stays complete and helps when you sell.
Do you work on quattro four-wheel drive?
Yes. We service and repair quattro models, including oil changes on the rear differential and Haldex coupling where the schedule calls for it. These are often missed, and old oil can cause noises and drive faults. If you are not sure when yours was last done, we can check the service history and look at the oil condition for you.
Can you fix an Audi DPF warning?
Usually, yes. A DPF warning on a TDI often comes from too many short trips. We check the sensors and readings first, then try a forced regeneration or a clean. If the filter really has reached the end of its life we will tell you and price a replacement.
Do you MOT Audi cars?
Yes. We carry out Class 4 MOTs on cars and light vans up to 3,000kg, which covers every Audi car and SUV. If anything fails we explain it and give you a price before doing any repairs. You can book your Audi MOT and service together, so the car is only off the road once, and we will point out anything that is close to needing attention.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. Police, fire service, NHS workers and armed forces get a discount with us. Mention it when you call 01922 682200 to book your Audi in. If you are not sure whether your role counts, just ask when you ring and we will tell you straight away. It is our way of saying thank you to the people who look after us all.
