Why book with us
Vauxhall Vivaro Servicing & Repairs Pelsall with clear advice.
The Vauxhall Vivaro is one of the most popular mid-size vans on the road around Pelsall and Walsall, and we work on all three generations. We service them, diagnose warning lights and repair clutches, brakes, suspension, steering and engine faults. Plenty of our Vivaro customers are tradespeople who need the van every day, so we keep things simple: find the fault, explain it, quote it and get on with it.
Each Vivaro has its own habits. The first two generations share their mechanicals with the Renault Trafic, and clutch and dual-mass flywheel wear is common on vans that carry weight. EGR valves can stick on older diesels. The latest Vivaro, built alongside the Peugeot Expert and Citroën Dispatch, uses an AdBlue system that is known for warnings, often traced to the tank and pump unit, and short local runs can block the particulate filter.
We do not guess with parts, ever. We read the fault codes, test the system that is complaining and check the basics first. Then we ring you with a clear price and tell you honestly what needs doing now and what can wait. Racking, ply-lining and roof bars are no problem; we work around them for servicing and most repairs.
A garage has been on our site on Pelsall High Street since 1936. Mark, who owns it, has been in the motor trade since leaving school, more than 30 years, and Suzi has a background as a service adviser and in customer support. Van drivers from Walsall, Bloxwich, Rushall and Brownhills come to us because we are easy to talk to and open on Saturday mornings.
Most Vivaros are plated at or under 3,000kg design gross weight, so they can have a Class 4 MOT with us. If yours is plated above 3,000kg it needs a Class 7 test, which we cannot do, but we can still service and repair it. To book your Vivaro in, call us on 01922 682200. We are open Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00 and Saturday 8:30 to 1:00.

Common questions
- How often should I service my Vivaro?
- The interval depends on the generation and engine, and later Vivaros show the service due on the dash. For a van working every day, a service at least once a year or at the set mileage, whichever comes first, is a good rule. Give us your registration and we will check the right schedule.
- Can you MOT my Vivaro?
- Most Vivaros are plated at 3,000kg or under, which means a Class 4 MOT that we can do. Some heavier versions are plated above 3,000kg and need a Class 7 test, which we cannot do. Check the plate inside the van or your V5C, or call us and we will check with you.
- Why does my Vivaro keep showing an AdBlue warning?
- On the newer Vivaro, AdBlue warnings are common and are often caused by a fault in the tank and pump unit rather than low fluid. If ignored, the van counts down to a point where it will not restart. We read the codes and test the system so you know exactly what has failed before paying for parts.
- Is a Vivaro the same as a Renault Trafic?
- The first two generations of Vivaro were built alongside the Renault Trafic and share engines, gearboxes and many parts. The current Vivaro is related to the Peugeot Expert and Citroën Dispatch instead. We work on all of them, so it makes no difference which badge your van wears.
- Will an independent service affect my warranty?
- No. UK block exemption rules let you use an independent garage for servicing without affecting the manufacturer's warranty, as long as the schedule is followed and parts and oils meet the right specification. We record the work so your service history stays complete.
- My Vivaro clutch is slipping. Is it the flywheel too?
- Often, yes. On vans that carry weight the clutch and dual-mass flywheel tend to wear together, and doing both at once saves paying the labour twice. We check the flywheel when the gearbox is out, or test it beforehand where we can, and tell you before we fit anything.
- Do I need to clear out my van before bringing it in?
- Fixed racking and ply-lining can stay. Please take out loose tools and stock where you can, so we can reach everything and nothing goes missing or gets damaged. If a job needs anything moved, we will tell you when you book.
- Do you offer discounts?
- Yes. We offer discounts to police, fire service, NHS workers and members of the armed forces. Business and fleet customers are welcome too. Just mention it when you call so we can note it on your booking. If you run vans for a business, we are happy to book several in around your work and make invoices out to your business.
- How do I book?
- Call us on 01922 682200 with your registration and tell us what the van is doing. We are at 45 High Street, Pelsall, open weekdays 8:30 to 5:00 and Saturday 8:30 to 1:00. If you are not sure what is wrong, describe what you hear, feel or see on the dash, and we will tell you how best to book it in.
